Previously home to the Franciscan Friars, the Edgecliff building holds a special history for both the church and many Eastern Suburbs’ residents, with the order’s presence in Paddington, Waverley, and here dating back to 1879. Now that the last Friars to live here have moved to the other residences in the East, the vacant building presents a rare opening – and one with purpose.
